Choptank Health welcomes new Talbot County School-Based healthcare providers
Choptank Community Health System recently welcomed Family Nurse Practitioners Kristen Farrell, DNP, Natalie Lewis, CRNP, and Registered Dietician Jennifer Runz, MBA, RD, LDN to its Talbot County School-Based Health Center team.
Farrell is providing healthcare to students at Easton Elementary School, Lewis is providing healthcare at Easton Middle School and White Marsh Elementary School, and Runz is providing dietician services to all Talbot County Public School students enrolled in School-Based Health.
Choptank Health opens School Health Centers in Queen Anne’s, Kent Counties
Choptank Community Health System has expanded its School Based Health Center program into Queen Anne’s and Kent Counties with new centers opening at Church Hill Elementary, Sudlersville Elementary and Middle, and Rock Hall Elementary schools. The centers are made possible through partnerships with each county’s public school system, local health departments, and Maryland Department of Health.
Choptank Health brings awareness to children’s mental health

Choptank Community Health receives No Kid Hungry grant for produce prescriptions
Choptank Community Health System has recently been awarded a $25K grant to provide fresh produce to local students. The initiative is set to begin this spring and also provides students with health education on topics including the importance of a healthy diet and physical activity.
