Choptank Community Health System is reminding parents to keep their children happy, healthy, and protected from diseases by scheduling back-to-school immunizations now. Immunization resources for Mid-Shore parents are at choptankhealth.org/protected.
The site includes Maryland’s back-to-school immunization requirements, the CDC’s child and adolescent immunization schedule by age, a provider locator tool, and links to the childhood immunization programs of all Mid-Shore health departments.

Choptank Community Health System’s Chestertown Health Center recently welcomed family practice provider Julia Berry, PA to the medical practice.
Berry earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Lincoln Memorial University and a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from Liberty University, graduating magna cum laude. Her experience includes working in family medicine, behavioral health, obstetrics, and gynecology.

Choptank Community Health System recently welcomed provider Annie Coyer, PA at its Community Health Center at Rock Hall Elementary School. Coyer also sees Choptank Health medical patients at the Chestertown Health Center.
Coyer, who has been a provider with Choptank Health since October 2021, is now seeing Choptank Health medical patients of all ages and students enrolled in School-Based Health on Mondays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Choptank Health’s Community Health Center at Rock Hall Elementary.

Choptank Community Health System recently welcomed Family Nurse Practitioners Kristen Farrell, DNP, Natalie Lewis, CRNP, and Registered Dietician Jennifer Runz, MBA, RD, LDN to its Talbot County School-Based Health Center team.
Farrell is providing healthcare to students at Easton Elementary School, Lewis is providing healthcare at Easton Middle School and White Marsh Elementary School, and Runz is providing dietician services to all Talbot County Public School students enrolled in School-Based Health.

Choptank Community Health System’s Fassett Magee Medical and Cambridge Dental Center recently welcomed Physician Assistant McKayla Kelly, PA to the medical practice.
Kelly specializes in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of pediatric and adult patients working in local, rural communities.
Kelly received her Master of Health Science in the Physician Assistant Program from the University of Maryland Baltimore—graduating at the top of her class—and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, specializing in Neurobiology and Physiology, from the University of Maryland College Park.
